Zenmuse X7 (Lens not included)
The Zenmuse X7 is a compact Super 35 camera with an integrated stabilizer designed for professional film shooting that offers incredible resolution and image quality.
Thought for excellence.
The X7 uses a Super 35 sensor and its high reading speed makes it possible to record RAW at 6K / 30 fps and 3.9K / 59.94 fps. The pixel size reaches 3.91μm and the diagonal of the sensor is 26.6mm when recording video. A sensor of this size offers a high sensitivity to light and a dynamic range of 14 steps - much wider than the 12.8 steps offered by the Zenmuse X5S. In addition, the SNR of the X7 is 44 dB, 8 dB more than the X5S, and the tonal range is up to 9.41 bits. All these features offer unlimited creative freedom to have a better workflow in the most demanding shooting situations.
Taking advantage of the new FSI-Cu technology, the sensor of the X7 has a narrower interconnection zone, which allows light to reach the sensor area even at wide angles and increases photosensitivity. This allows a more compact lens mount to be used on the sensor while maintaining image quality. The recording distance of the DL-Mount is less than 17 mm - about 1/3 the size of a PL- Mount. The compactness of this mount allows the X7 weighs only about 630 g, lens included. Together, the X7 and Inspire 2 weigh about 4 kg and have the ability to record the same complicated scenes as other heavier equipment that reaches 40 kg.
DJI offers four fixed lenses compatible with the DL-Mount system, with focal lengths of between 16 and 50 mm and resolutions of up to 8K. Made from lightweight carbon fiber and designed by some of the world's best teams of optical experts, the four lenses are packed with advanced technologies designed specifically for the X7's high-end image sensor.
To unleash the full potential of the X7, the CineCore image processing system of the Inspire 2 has been updated to the CineCore 2.1. It is capable of recording CinemaDNG at 6K / 30 fps and Apple ProRes at 5.2K / 30 fps, leaving more creative options for post-production. A completely new EI mode has been included in CineCore 2.1 that can record high-quality video at various levels of sensitivity. In addition, the improved image processing system further reduces image artifacts and noise, retaining more detail, and has an improved dark correction system for professional level images. Apart from the improved image processing performance, CineCore 2.1 has a new color management system that gives professionals more creative flexibility in post-production.
